Anbe Sivam !

Though Anbe Sivam is a 2003 release, only when I recently watched it again I realized why it would always remain my most favorite of all. Before and after I have seen a handful of good movies from POH,SSR,M.Wedding to A Wednesday and Rev Road, but none of these seem to take over Anbe Sivam for me. The movie is about how two people who believe in entirely opposite ideologies come to respect and become to love each other.KamalHassan and Madhavan have transfigured for their roles. The film duly conveys the message "Only heart matters”. When we learn to respect every other persons ideology the problem of the entire world ends.As has happened, it was only when people failed to respect each others ideology the course of history has changed. So it is changing now and so will it. As portrayed in the movie, harmony and peace comes out respect for each other. Finally, it will be love that will live. Truly, "Aatthigam paesum adiyaarkellaam Shivamae Anbaagum;Natthigam paesum nallavarukkoe Anbae Shivamaagum!!" (For a theist Shiva(God) is love; but for a atheist love is Shiva(God)"
